Giftware

I make a wide variety of affordable giftware ranging from coasters, bowls and hotplates with many designs having a Welsh theme drawing inspiration from Wales pottery's past. My aim is to make ceramics accessible and fun for all by combining functionality with handmade decorative wares that demonstrate clay versatility with each piece being unique in design and finish.

I use solar panels, rainwater and recycle my clay to reduce my impact on the environment.

Horse Sculptures

My close relationship with horses and a concern for their welfare has had a strong influence on my ceramic practice. Throughout history mankind's shifting relationship with the horse, from one of reliance to a status object has been portrayed through the medium of ceramics. My work continues to build on this tradition incorporating my lifelong experience of the horse and how others currently perceive its role in a contemporary society as a potentially luxury consumable object, thus disposable and therefore becoming incredible fragile.

These solitary or grouped objects are crafted from sympathetic process, drawing on the intrinsic quality of clay and the most expressive elements of the horse, to capture and focus on a specific experience and encounter.

Commissions

I accept all types of commissions from personalized name plates and gifts, wedding centre pieces and favors, to large scale horse portraits.
